Get the support agent

Install this on the computer that needs help. It carries no credential and joins nothing on its own: when it starts, it asks for a deployment code, and your provider gives you one. Until then it does nothing at all.

What happens when you run it

  1. 1. It installs and asks for a code. A deployment code looks like SK-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and comes from whoever supports your computers. Nothing is shared, seen or recorded before one is entered.
  2. 2. It asks the operating system for permission. On macOS that means Screen Recording and Accessibility, granted by you, in System Settings. Neither can be granted by us.
  3. 3. Nothing is watched until somebody connects. When a technician does, a banner appears on your screen naming them, saying whether they can only watch or can also use your keyboard and mouse, and it carries a Disconnect button that ends the session immediately. That banner cannot be turned off by anyone.

More on how that is enforced, and what is deliberately not possible, on the security page.

Removing the agent

On a Mac, run the uninstaller. It stops the agent and removes everything it put on the computer: the program, its menu bar item, its settings, the computer's identity and every log it wrote. Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions are reset too. On Windows, remove StrategyK Remote Agent from Installed apps in Settings.
